Questions
& Answers
Q:
They say there is a lot of theory is that
true?
A: Yes there is, you cover
12 topics as well as dive theory topics like
physics (why things float and sink), physiology
(how the body works), dive equipment( trouble
shooting on regulators and how to fix them
when you are out at sea).
Q:
How long does it really take to complete the
course?
A: 8 full days (8 until 6
every day) but we know you cannot get of work
for that long so we spread it out over 3 weekends.
Not necessarily three consecutive weekends
the standard time to complete this course
is 1 and a half months.
Q: Will I dive for free once I am
a dive master?
A: No, dive masters still pay for
their dives unless they work on the dive.
A dive master is not just someone holding
a buoy line. He will also help with equipment
preparation, loading and offloading of boats
and group organization. If a dive master work
on and for the dive he/she will not pay for
it.
Q:
Why do I need my own equipment?
A: As a dive master you need to ensure
your own safety as well as the safety of the
divers that dive with you. Knowing your equipment
is the most important feature when it comes
to rescueing someone.
Q: it seems like there is a lot of
hidden cost?
A: The crew pack includes the PADI
Divemaster Manual, The Encyclopedia of Recreational
Diving, The Diving Knowledge Workbook and
Divemaster Slates.
It
does not include the Recreational Dive Planner
(RDP) - all three versions (Table, Wheel
and eRDP) PADI Divemaster DVD. Coastal qualifying
trip, cost or dives.
In land qualifying trip cost or dives.
